A Day on the Alpaca Farm Homeschool Program

Are you homeschooling this year?

We are considering hosting a hands on –
DAY ON THE ALPACA FARM
homeschool program.

The children would learn about alpaca & even some chicken husbandry, yes they would be helping with chores. They would also learn how to wash, dye, card and spin alpaca fiber.

Check what would interest you and your student

Helping with chores and learning about the care of alpacas. Dying fiber. Learning to use a drop spindle (making yarn). Learning to felt soap. Having a picnic lunch with the alpacas. Advanced husbandry – learning how to do check poop for parasites under a microscope. Learning to needle felt a critter. Complete course on taking the alpaca fleece from on the animal to a finished product. For younger students – reading a story about alpacas in the pasture or barn with the alpacas.
