CLASS DESCRIPTION: Have you always wanted to learn about dyeing?

This class is designed to introduce you to many types of dyeing techniques. Pictured here is a technique we will do called Ice Dyeing. A fun, free form dyeing that lets nature and chemistry do some wonderful things on gorgeous Silk.

We will do a little hand painting of yarn & roving, as well as kettle dyeing. You will learn about different types of mordants and dyes, including natural dyes and plants that you can grow in your own garden to use in your dyeing studio.

We will also demonstrate preparing a raw fleece for the mill as well as washing a fleece in preparation for dyeing and carding.

All levels welcome.
Class Times: 10:00 am – 4:00 pm

Class Fee: $120 includes all materials and a Farm to table style lunch. A $25 deposit is required to register. If for any reason I have to cancel the class, you may use the deposit on another class, or we will reimburse you the deposit.
