My husband, Courtney and I fell in love with these fascinating creatures in 2000, when we made plans to purchase our first 2 females. We have taken our time developing our herd, choosing quality over quantity. We are dedicated to breeding for the best and bringing well known, proven blood lines to the Southeast.

Visiting Lasso the Moon is a fun, educational and tactile experience. We are committed to sharing our knowledge of alpacas and all that comes with raising and breeding them to folks interested in learning more about these fuzzy, gentle beings. We want our visitors to have a hands on experience. We will show you the fiber both on and off the animal, explain what we look for in our show string and share with you the fun things you can do with fiber to create beautiful end products. We will be real with you. Sharing both our good experiences and our challenges.

Fiber Art Classes
One day classes taught right here on the farm. All matierals included as well as a farm to table style lunch. Choose from many classes, such as needle felting, wet felting or dying. Learn more about the classes, here.

The Other Critters
Our focus as an ALPACA farm is obviously alpacas. To learn more about alpacas, click here. We also love the other critters that grace our farm. Meet the Farm Dogs, Farm Cats, Ducks and Chickens. Each has a job to do on the farm, even if it seems most of the time that job is just to entertain us.

The Garden
We love to garden, forage and EAT! A green house is in our near future where we hope to offer plants for sale to our visitors. Our focus will be succulents and flowers or plants that can be used in soaping and natural dying as well as bee and butterfly favorites.
