Glass Bead Class Videos

“Lampworking”
Lampworking is a type of glasswork where a torch or lamp is primarily used to melt the glass. Once in a molten state, the glass is formed by blowing and shaping with tools and hand movements.

We are excited to have our first Free bead making video put together and available for viewing. This is a bit of a practice video for us as we are trying to work through the filming, lighting, editing…you know all the crazy stuff that you don’t really think about until you do it. This lampwork video is a walk through the process of creating a glass flower that can be used as a pin by gluing on a pin back.

This video is obviously geared toward folks that have experience with lampworking and understand the tools and how to pull stringers and prepare the glass before making a bead (technically this is not a bead of course, as it has no beading hole). All that said, I think my husband did a great job for his first go with filming and editing. Can’t wait to get started in earnest and pump out some great ‘how to’ videos. It will be a fun journey and we hope you will join us!
